Triangle baby blanket - Pattern

Here's the pattern for the triangle blanket that has gotten so much positive response. I hope the pattern is easy to read and that making it will bring you as much joy as it brought me c",)

Triangle:
Ch 5, join together with a slip st.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc in the ring, ch 4, 3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc, ch 4, join together with slip st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next 2 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 3 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 3 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, join together with slip st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next 5 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 9 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 9 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 3 dc, join together with slip st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next 8 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 15 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 15 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 6 dc, join together with slip st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 5: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in next 11 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 21 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 21 dc, *3 dc, ch 4, 3 dc* in ch-4 space, dc in next 9 dc,join together with slip st to top of ch-3.
Triangle is ready.

Make 54 triangles, or 18 of each color if you have 3 colors.

Arrange the triangles in the order you want them before you start joining them together.
1. row: 7 triangles
2. row: 9 triangles
3. row: 11 triangles
4. row: 11 triangles
5. row: 9 triangles
6. row: 7 triangles

Joining:
The triangles are joined together with sc. Put the triangles together, backsides facing each other, 1 sc in each ch. The sc tend to lean in one direction so be careful always to crochet in the same direction so all the sc lean in the same direction.

Edging:
Rnd 1:
Start in what ever chain you want to, ch 1, 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in each st. Make 5 to 7 sc in the corners (what ever you think fits best). Join with slip st in the 1st sc of the round.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in same chain, 4 sc, 1 picot, *5 sc, 1 picot*, repeat from * to * till the end of the round. Join with slip st in the 1st sc of the rnd.

  1. Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern! It will mae the perfect present for my sister-in-law and her new baby. Do you know how much yarn is needed to complete it? (if you have 3 colors?)

  2. Thanks so much. Glad u like it.
If I remember correctly I used 1 100 gr skein of each color for the triangles, and then a bit more of the color I used to join them together n crochet around the blanket.
    Hope this helps c",)
